Local development group is excited to announce that Sagebrush Apartments in Jackson Hole will open in October 2021

JACKSON, Wyoming (July 12, 2021) — A local development group, Sagebrush Investors, LLC led by John Shelton and Joe Rice, is pleased to announce that Sagebrush Apartments, a 90-unit, long-term rental and workforce housing community, located in the heart of the town of Jackson, WY, will open in October 2021. Sagebrush is committed to delivering market rate, workforce focused housing to Jackson Hole, which is why the group is excited to announce the upcoming completion of this much-anticipated community.

The newly-developed property will offer studio, one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from approximately 400 to over 800 square feet, with a starting rent of $1,695 per month.

Community amenities include on-site parking, bike/gear storage, bike & ski maintenance room, fitness center, business center, outdoor gathering space with a firepit overlooking Flat Creek and public access to Karns Meadow.

Partner/owner John Shelton says, “a rental project of this scale, specifically intended for the workforce of Jackson Hole, has been long overdue, as evidenced by the housing crisis we face today!

We feel that while perhaps well intended, but proven ineffective, the town’s zoning regulations of the past, have created tremendous hardships for the deserving workforce of our community. The workers in our town have been displaced to increasingly remote locations, creating monthly commuting costs of $1,000 to $1,500 per month for each worker, not to mention the hours of unproductive commuting time, experienced every single workday.

Through our collaborative efforts with the town, we have been able to create a LOCAL home for some 150 to 200 hardworking members of our community, who will now be able to walk, bike or utilize efficient local transportation to get to their places of work, services, community and social activities, see friends, gather, live healthier, richer and fuller lives – on a daily basis!!!”

Despite numerous COVID-19 related delays due to supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, and unexpected job site shutdowns, ownership overcame these burdensome and costly obstacles, and is excited about the opening of this modern and stylish new
